Job Type : Temporary, Full Time

Salary : £12.39/annum £12.39 per hour

RYE BUCKET RUNNERS REQUIRED

This is a fabulous and extremely enjoyable role where we have many people returning to fulfil the seasonal harvest year upon year.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people from your local community, it is great for exercise, mental health and wellbeing and working in the most breath-taking surroundings. We are currently recruiting for bucket runners for the end of September/early October for a period of approximately 2-3 weeks. The exact start date is dependent on how quickly the grapes ripen over the summer months, we will be able to release the start date early September 2023, some flexibility is required.

The Bucket Running role
No experience necessary – this role will involve walking down the vines, emptying the grape pickers buckets that will be full of grapes and emptying them into the trailer on the back of the tractor and supplying the grape pickers with empty buckets so that they can continue picking. This is a physically demanding role that involves a great deal of strength and stamina. This role will involve working as part of a busy team supporting the harvest season. Will involve lots and lots of walking (on average 6-10 miles per day), it will also involve working come rain or shine so a waterproof jacket is essential to have to hand along with wellies and/or comfortable hardy waterproof walking boots.

This work is weather permitting, if the forecast shows heavy rain that will continue all day, then they will delay the harvest until the following day therefore a level of flexibility is required.

This is a great experience where we have many people returning year upon year, it’s a wonderful atmosphere where you are surrounded by breath-taking views.

To reach the vineyard you will need your own transport due to their rural location.

£12.39 per hour – payment will be made at the end of the 2–3-week assignment unless otherwise arranged. Hours: 8am till 4.30/5pm Monday to Sunday (weather dependent).

We do require 100% attendance as there is only a small window of 2-3 weeks that the vineyards are able to pick in, so we really do require your full attendance for the duration of the assignment.

Please note this role will involve heavy lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time, therefore you must be physically fit and able in order to undertake this assignment
