Bridging Underwriter

Bridging Underwriter Responsibilities and Duties – Loan Administration & Underwriting
Management of personal pipeline of loans for underwriting, within SLA's
Assess and review detailed legal documentation & valuation reports
KYC, AML, and all other vital loan/borrower checks
Strong due diligence to ensure DIP principles are adhered to throughout
Undertake key checks, such as land registry or credit checks where required
Presentations to Line Manager in respect of property loans for funding
Support Senior Underwriters & Underwriting Managers with complex loan assessments
Assessment & underwriting of loan applications in line with credit risk policy
Active assessments of all risks across the full end to end of the property cycle
Support decisions on loan values, rates, broader loan terms and loan exits
Actively identify any fraud cases and always protect the business
Assist offer process & transaction execution of loans within SLA's agreed
Bridging Underwriter Responsibilities and Duties
Communication & Relationships
Activity to build, manage & influence a key broker & borrower network
Ongoing point of contact for brokers and borrowers
Communicate with external stakeholders to the loan funding process
Any activity that always ensures exceptional customer service
Attend internal or external meetings
Mentorship of Jnr Underwriters & Administrators to support team goal
Timely delivery of MI to line management as and when requested
Update the company CRM (Hubspot) where required
Proactive identification of new lending opportunities vs personal target of £12m per annum
Attend team meetings to share best practise & to optimise productivity
All activity to always uphold the principles of MFS as a company ambassador
