The National Cyber Security Centre has defended the UK against more than 600 cyber attacks in the past year according to their 2019 annual review. If you want to use your software testing skills to fight these attacks and protect the UK infrastructure, then read on.
Your skills in software testing will help create mission critical software across Cloud Security, Application Development and Data Engineering. Your work will have a real-world impact in protecting the UK Government, UK Infrastructure and the general public. Using an Agile/Scrum methodology, you will be involved fully in the software development lifecycle, working closely with the developers in an integrated team environment. Projects are diverse and you could learn a variety of new tech including AWS, Kubernetes or machine learning to list a few.
Ideally your skills and background will cover:-
* Experience Working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model
* Defining test environment and tool requirements
* Creating and managing automated test scripts
* Contributing to the production of test strategies and plans
* Recording defects/test issues and supporting the wider development team in their resolution
* Experience of Automated Test Tools such as Selenium, Cucumber
* Some knowledge of developing in a high level language such as C++/Java
* Experience of Continuous Integration
* Experience of scripting languages; Python, Perl
