Audit Manager

Salary : £50000 – £60000/annum
We are recruiting for an Audit Manager to join a well-established top 100 accountancy firm at its Oxford office. This is a very successful practice that has ambitious growth plans and as Audit Manager, you will be an integral part of this ongoing success.

This is a full-time role based in Oxford, however, the role could be based at the firm’s London office, although you would be required to travel to the Oxford office for team meetings.
The role would suit someone currently working at Assistant Manager level; however, more experienced applications would be considered with an uplift on the advertised salary to suit.
As Audit Manager your key responsibilities will include:
* Develop and apply your technical and commercial knowledge to provide expert advice and exceed client expectations
* Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and becoming their primary point of contact
* Your portfolio will consist of both new and established clients and you will be encouraged to develop further revenue streams within it as well as helping to bring in new clients to the firm
* Responding to ad hoc client queries
* Lead and manage audit assignments to completion, manage people and delivery of the assignment, budgets, billing recovery and client engagement and satisfaction
* Provide support on tenders, proposals and other business development activities to promote the practice and develop your profile externally
* Contribute to the management of the audit team, audit procedures and, more widely, to the whole compliance team
* Line manage a small number of junior team members
* Consider technical audit and accounting developments and provide training to ensure the team are updated so that high standards are maintained

* ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 1-2 years PQE in practice
* You will have at least 6 years’ practice experience
* Previous experience operating at least at Assistant Manager level
* Proven experience of producing high quality audits
* Aptitude to assist with business development activities
* Strong self-starter with a commercial approach
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills
