One of the UK's largest and foremost law firms is currently looking to recruit a Copy Editor, tasked with delivering submissions for legal directories, ranking and awards across the business.

Offering a salary circa £25,000 dependent on experience plus excellent benefits including pension scheme, health insurance, critical illness cover, and discounted gym membership, this is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most respected law firms in the UK.

This is a full-time permanent role. The company have introduced a 'Flexible by Choice' policy, giving you the opportunity to work from home, one of their principal offices in Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, or Birmingham, or a combination of the two.

The Role
As Copy Editor you would work alongside marketing and communications colleagues, serving as the central point of contact for directories, rankings and award submissions. You will be tasked with writing, reviewing and editing content, coordinating the submission process from end-to-end.

Work will include…
– Ensuring firm profiles are up-to-date for all relevant directories and consistent across all channels
– Developing relationships with editors, and researchers at the legal directories
– Providing training, mentoring and advice in all aspects of the legal directory research process.
– Coordinating with communications team to prepare and post press releases and website announcement for the firm's directory rankings and awards successes
– Tracking and analysing rankings results from year to year, producing comparison charts and conducting research on competitors to continuously improve rankings and identify new potential areas for submission

The Candidate
You will be an articulate and creative communicator with the ability to adapt writing style to meet the needs of different audiences. Strong writing, editorial and proofreading skills along with excellent attention to detail required, along with the ability to build and manage relationships and work collaboratively. A background within advertising or journalism would be ideal. You must have…
– Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
– The ability to deliver compliant, professionally produced content within fluctuating timeframes
– Experience working in a multi-disciplined team
