Do you?

An HNC/D or degree in a construction related subject or equivalent, and/or membership of the CIOB, RICS or RIBA
A minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar design management role, or a combination of a senior technical or operational role such as planning, or project management coupled with design management experience – essenatil 
Have experience in large-scale residential projects – essential 
Have excellent communications skills, written and oral along with strong IT skills,
Have strong organisational skills
Have the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Have a strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and succeed
Are you?

Able to produce design content for Contractors Proposals in line with contractual and statutory obligations and defined commercial parameters
A good negotiator with strong influencing skills
Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
Methodical and diligent in your approach to problem-solving
A team player with strong interpersonal skills
The Role

The Design Manager will lead and co-ordinate the project design process in compliance with the requirements of SOP 62 Group Preconstruction and Design Management Process and all associated deliverables. The design produced must satisfy our contractual and Statutory obligations and meet the quality and commercial requirement defined for the project. In doing so, the Design Manager will be required to manage a design team comprising both internal colleagues and a range of external consultants from various disciplines.
