Salary : £20000 – £25000/annum pro rata

Our client is a well established local business who are looking for a part time Accounts Assistant to join their team fo 4 working around 25 hours a week (9-2pm monday to friday – with some flexibility).

This vacancy will suit somebody with experience of both accounts receivable and payables processes. Although initially a part time assignment, there is a strong potential this role will convert to a full time

role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Purchase Ledger function to include but not exclusive to:

* Posting of invoices to Sage

* Posting DDR’s to Sage

* Supplier Statement Reconciliations & chasing for missing invoices

* Ensure all POA’s are cleared in a timely manner

* Ensuring all suppliers are set up correctly and follow process

* Filing

* Sales Ledger function to include but not exclusive to:

* Managing the Sales ledger Inbox

* Approving sales invoices

* Opening new customer accounts

* Dealing with Sales ledger queries

* Filing

* Any tasks requested by the finance director or accounts manager

The list of duties will further develop and change with the company’s requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* 12 months' experience within an Finance Function performing the above

* Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals

* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure

* Excellent organisational and time management skills

* Advanced Microsoft excel skills

* Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment

* Solution orientated with common-sense approach with excellent attention to detail
