CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated Facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a CAD Technician to join the team located in Cramlington. The successful candidate's main responsibility will be to provide drawing capability and support. To assist in preparation and maintenance of process and other engineering drawings. Ensuring compliance with all company, industry and local guidelines/procedures to suit business needs.
This profile is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged and the range of duties to be undertaken, it does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the Client and post holder at regular intervals.
Responsible for assisting the Client to maintain electronic and hard copy databases and filing systems for all drawings managed and controlled by the Clients Drawing Office. Provide ability to produce new/revised drawings and perform general drawing office duties, administration and support as required.
Key Tasks:
Drawing updates.
Coordinate and work with designers and engineers.
Responsible for working with internal resources, contractors, and vendors to produce drawing packages for review.
Responsible for knowing and maintaining CAD standards, both Company and industry.
Have a working knowledge of project drawings, P&IDs, and PFDs, including mechanical, electrical, architectural, spacing planning and information systems.
Maintain a high level of expertise in CAD software and have a basic understanding of other drawing programs.
Act as Customer's CAD and document control representative to project teams.
Participate in construction and record drawing development and management.
Provide CAD Department leadership.
Instruct contractors and vendors in Company standards and related requirements.
Maintain the site master drawings.
Manage technical documentation including SOPs, IQ/OQs, CRs, and SLC documents
Manage the local document management system.
Service Provider may provide CAD service for space planning drawings, including but not limited to furniture layouts, CAFM drawings, and lab equipment layouts. These drawings may include details of the furniture components and equipment and employee information (e.g., name, cubicle locator number, work surface height). Service Provider must conform to Company CAD standards.
Load initial CAD files into the site system for new locations and new floors added to existing locations based on files received from Suppliers.
Update Cad files in the site system based on edited files / drawings received from the Suppliers.
Reconcile, update, and add space attributes for floorplans in the site system.
Ensure all CAD files are maintained in the site system consistently for all files and locations.
Updating of drawings by site personnel / OEP including but not limited to:
P&ID's
Architectural
Electrical
Instrumentation.
Fire protection
HVAC
Support for regulatory audits.
Support Change Controls.
Support for plotting and scanning of documents.
Complete Client's training requirements where required.
To make ensure you meet the legal, company and Client regulations for fire, health, safety and environment.

Person Specification:
AutoCAD 2d draughting ability
Microsoft word & Excel
Ability to undertake site survey work of existing systems.
Understanding of PFD's, P&ID's.
General Arrangement drawings
Piping drawings
Plant and equipment Layouts
Understanding of electrical drawings
