To help you decide if secondary teaching is right for you, and to help build up your confidence and experience, we have a range of flexible part-time and full-time opportunities in secondary schools across Upton, Christleton, Blacon, Handbridge and Malpas.

Your role as a Cover Supervisor will primarily involve handing out pre-planned lesson material left in the absence of the teacher, whilst maintaining and up keeping the behaviour and classroom standards expected by each school between the hours of 8.30am – 3.30pm.

To be considered for this role, you will need referable child-based referable experience which could have been obtained through university placements in schools, sports coaching, volunteering with children, Scout and Brownie clubs etc.

This is an ideal opportunity to be paid whilst building up much needed and valuable experience towards applying for initial teacher training. You can also use this experience and apply through Educate Initial Teacher Training.

If you are considering a career in teaching, this role offers real-life, practical classroom experience and the opportunity to later apply for teacher training through Educate.

*What's more, you will receive a £200 bonus for simply working 20 full days*
