Background: We are one of the UK’s leading ‘one stop shop’ specialists in the design and manufacture of retail fixtures, retail displays, display units and POP displays all within an 80,000 square feet state of the art factory.
Working with major high street retailers this is an exciting opportunity to join our busy design team in an expanding pos/retail design and manufacturing company based in Letchworth Garden City, Herts.
We have a comprehensive range of in-house facilities including injection moulding, vacuum forming, sheet metal, woodwork and plastic fabrication.
Due to increased workload we are now looking to employ a junior designer. Candidates should ideally have strong design and presentation skills, be proficient in solidworks/autodesk inventor and be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
This role ideally suits a graduate with 1 year industry experience.
Role: Key duties of the role are:
* To produce concept drawings/visuals suitable for presentation to key customers.
* To produce fully specified manufacturing drawings using a 3d drawing package.
* Assist in managing projects throughout the entire manufacturing process.
* To attend meetings both on site, or at clients/suppliers premises as required.
