Contract: Initially 6 Months with potential to extend – Outside IR35
Location is a combination of Derby office and home working.
Due to the continued growth of Belcan's Marine Division we have an immediate requirement for a significant number of Detail Design Engineers with experience on Naval Marine Projects.
Project Deliverables and Role:
To undertake a defined range of detail design activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements, producing 3D models to support operations and other functions and ensuring defined objectives are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements.
The role has a strong focus on engineering delivery and quality.
Amongst other things the successful candidate will be comfortable working in an Engineering Service environment and will be able to balance the technical responsibilities inherent within the role, with the commercial and project timescale associated with delivery.
Key Skills Areas and Technical Knowledge required:
Piping and/or Layouts
Good experience working with Foran 3D CAD package.
Marine Ship Build Industry experience.
Ability to ensure own Project Deliverable is provided on-time, On-Cost and to Quality Standards.
Due to the nature of the work, successful applicants must meet eligibility requirements to obtain UK Security Clearance
