This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of our top clients who are market leaders in their field. They are looking for a Content Manager/Writer who ideally comes from an automotive industry background and with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, from either an agency, manufacturer, or OEM. Reporting to the Commercial Director the successful candidate will be responsible for creating training content on automotive products and technology.

The position is UK based (Hertfordshire); and the candidate must have permission to work in the UK. The role will be hybrid (after a qualifying period), 60:40 office/home based so you must have the ability to travel.

As Content Manager Writer you will work with clients and internal stakeholders to create content for product & technology launch events and programmes. You must have the ability to summarise complex product information into simple and easy-to-digest formats, and manage and drive improvement in quality of all interventions

Primary responsibilities for the Content Manager/Writer:

Create, write, and develop content in a range of formats:

Face-to-face experiential and virtual webinar events/product launches

Develop product workshops & live events, in collaboration with stakeholders, SMEs, internal team and external trainers
Develop session plans and support with PowerPoint
E-learning courses and e-guides

Instructional design of automotive product, technology, and behavioural courses
An understanding of learning & development methodologies, user needs, and current & future learning trends
Video scripts

Script product videos and collaborate with internal teams to produce & film footage

Additional responsibilities for the Content Manager/Writer:

New client pitches

Development and ideation of new ideas, in collaboration with, internal creative and account management teams
Proposal document/presentation creation

Oversee the advancement of the agency as a thought leader in automotive learning and development

Create content marketing strategy
Improve website and SEO traffic
Manage blog and social media
Write and manage articles, blogs, whitepapers, videos

Skills required for the Content Manager/Writer:

Ability to digest complex product and technical information into clear and readable copy
Collaborate with internal project managers, designers, and developers
Develop an understanding of learner methodologies and needs
Ability to maintain consistency and keep content to the point
Work to multiple deadlines – manage yours and others’ time
Contribute to editing, fact-checking, and proof-reading of all content materials
Adapt writing style to suit a range of content formats
Adapt tone of voice for different audiences and brands (premium, mainstream, and boutique)
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain relationships internally and with client stakeholders at various levels
Independently research topics and formulate programmes and initiatives
Experience/Knowledge

Automotive passion/knowledge/expertise
A demonstrable portfolio of previous projects (that can be viewed)
Copywriting and content development experience
Well-rounded understanding of Learning & Development methodologies and trends
