An exciting new opportunity now exists for a dynamic and talented Design Artworker with a broad knowledge base and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment to join an industry leading homeware manufacturer with a proud 109-year history and a reputation for designing exceptional, sector defining products.

The successful candidate will design and produce artwork across a diverse range of formats including packaging, product concepts, label artwork, trade print ads, online asset creation, internal marketing comms. You'll be working across a broad range of projects for both our client's rapidly growing portfolio of internal brands and own label projects for our client's UK and international retail customers such as John Lewis, The White Company and Alshaya.

Applications are encouraged for this standalone, part remote, broad-based role from both recent graduates with limited experience looking for a career development opportunity or more experienced individuals who enjoy working across a diverse portfolio in a role in which no two days are the same. What you must bring is the ability to begin adding value from day using your technical design knowledge, whether gained from academia or industry.

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and Ecommerce you'll benefit from working in a friendly and supportive environment allowing you the autonomy and flexibility required to focus on producing eye catching designs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop multiple brand identities across multiple formats and platforms.
Produce accurate and high-quality, creative work from first to final iteration
Thinking creatively and collaboratively across multiple stakeholders to produce new ideas across products, packaging and communications.
Support with planning out new product launches for our internal brands and our retail customers.
Use insight derived from within the business and wider industry practices to drive improved designs.
Process & manage artwork creation and amendments from the wider business in China & Estonia within our internal artwork approval system and in line with critical path timings.
Checking artwork on a technical level and taking into consideration how it will work with finished products e.g. sizing, cutter guides, colour proofing, to ensure it is 'right first time'.
Liaising with the Key Account Managers to ensure retailer artwork requirements are delivered on brief and on time.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 12 months experience within a similar design role.
Equally comfortable to be part of the broader marketing team whilst being individually responsible for all creative artwork output.
Ability to communicate updates and issues. Ability to generate ideas and concepts and stimulate discussion with stakeholders
Attention to detail – ensures accurate delivery of information and collateral in a timely manner
Ability to be flexible and meet the demand of changing deadlines and priorities when needed.
Creativity and quality – able to demonstrate excellent creative skills and delivers the highest quality in all work produced.
Consumer facing brand design experience for example packaging, website graphics, and product mockups.
Competent using PhotoShop, InDesign and/or Illustrator on a Mac.
Experience creating documents to production artwork level using internal artwork approval systems
Knowledge of the textiles sector would be advantageous
A keen interest in sustainable business practices.
