What will you be doing?

Reporting in to the Engineering Department Manager, you will be responsible for providing design and drafting capability across projects, leading and supporting the team in both development and post design projects.

The Senior Design Engineer is required to work closely with the Sales, Purchasing, Production and Quality team members in order to fully understand customer requirements and provide accurate, on-time deliverables, in support of each project to satisfy both internal and external customers.

The duties of the Senior Design Engineer role within the Value Added Team is to design, implement, maintain and improve all project prototypes, technical documents, tooling and production processes in accordance with the customer requirements whilst always minimising cost, maintaining robust process and ensuring exceptional product quality.

What do you need?

Our successful Senior Design Engineer must have practical experience in the specification and application of pneumatic equipment. You will also have:

Excellent engineering knowledge, apprentice served or degree qualified.
Personable, team worker, quick to learn and then work independently.
Ability to Project Manage multiple projects.
Ability to work under own initiative.
Experienced CAD/SolidWorks user.
Familiar with standards BS499, BS1134, BS4500 and BS8888, ISO9001, ISO13485.
Good English and Mathematics skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to organise and complete work in accordance with departmental and company priorities.
Ability to use workshop machinery and tooling.
