Salary : £28000 – £35000/annum

A dynamic and forward-thinking architectural practice is looking to add an ambitious Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their team operating in a largely work-from-home capacity.

Having recently moved away from a centralised office structure, this practice are also operating a 4-DAY WORKING WEEK that see employees have every Friday off as well as the weekend.

Working mainly up to RIBA stage 3, this well-established firm deliver a large amount of work within the Residential sector; predominantly for Housing Associations but also for private clients, developers and contractors in Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. With a solid pipeline of work secured within this field, they now find themselves in the fantastic position to expand the team and the addition of driven Architectural Assistants are central to these plans.

They have managed to create a working environment where staff morale is very high and productivity is up – much of this can be credited to the 4-day working structure they have set up. For Architectural Assistants, consideration will be made to arrange working from the office when needed in order to obtain guidance and mentorship when working towards your Architect chartership.

To be successful in this position, an Architectural Assistant will need the following skills and characteristics:

RIBA Part 2 qualified
Demonstrable UK experience – ideally within the New-Build Residential sector
Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Revit design application.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD design application and Adobe Suite
Good solid stage 3 planning experience (from initial feasibility studies, outline planning, pre-applications, to preparing and submitting full planning applications, planning condition discharges and be familiar with Section 73 planning applications)

Responsibilities include preparing planning feasibility reports, design & access statements, preparing planning submissions, liaising with clients, planning officers etc.

Not only will the successful Architectural Assistant be able to take advantage of the aforementioned working structure but you will also receive a highly competitive salary, likely to be in the region of £28-£35k, dependent on experience.
