CAD Technician

A large well established manufacturing company based in Witham are looking to recruit CAD Technician / Technical Order Processor to join their expanding team. The role involves converting approved fabrication drawings or client orders into manufacturing documents. If you have knowledge of AutoCAD with an understanding of engineering, then this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and work for a company with great staff retention and job security.
Duties
Review fabrication drawings and client orders for accuracy ensuring correct information has been provided prior to detailing.
Ensure all documents have the correct references for Site Staff and for manufacturing.
Create fabrication drawings and mark up fabrication drawings with unique references, section fixings, manufacture specification and special cuts.
Raise purchase orders requisitions or material allocations required.
Produce manufacturing documentation for ancillary components.
Produce schedules and check for accuracy, produce templates, layout drawings and issue.
Check ALL documentation for accuracy.
Maintain Distributor detail log.
Issue paperwork to production.
Ensure ancillary items are specified and ordered correctly and in time for delivery / production.
Provide support to internal departments and customers.
Skills and Experience
An understanding of engineering with a methodical approach and good problem-solving skills are required.
Strong IT Skills are essential
Knowledge of AutoCAD, PDF's, DXF's (V6) – MS Office products preferred
Klaes software experience would be ideal however training will be given.
Must be able to work to deadlines and targets.
Work collaboratively with internal and external customers.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
Exceptional attention to detail.

Monday to Thursday 8.25am to 4.55pm, Friday 8.25am to 3.25pm
