Pre-press Artworker
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £25000 – £30000/annum overtime
My client is one of the major companies in the printing market in Europe. They produce books and printed documents for major publishing houses, large industrial groups and administrative bodies. They are looking for somebody to join their business as a Die and Cyrel plates manufacturer.
Day to day duties:
Work with a range of dyes including cutting and making
Work with chemicals such as developing, washing and etching magnesium plates
Labelling dies
Making Cyrel plates based on work instruction
Cut and expose film and Cyrel plate to required size
Use Heidelberg printer
Scanning documents
To plan and output customer die artwork to film
Create print ready files and correct and or retouch any customer errors
Spine making
Requirements:
Artworking experience
Pre-press operating experience
Work on own initiative and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detailAdditional training will be provided
