Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £33000 – £38000/annum

Experienced planner required to join a busy, Lancashire-based Developer.

Our client are proud to be Lancashire-based. Their projects are typically situated within the local area and the majority of their staff commute into the office from nearby. In recent years the company have grown unbelievably. Their Design and Technical team alone has nearly doubled in size and there are no plans of slowing down. The workload here is almost exclusively Residential; including Large-scale masterplans, bespoke dwellings and everything in between.

The role of planner here will form part of an in-house Architectural and Planning department. The successful candidate will work close with Architects, Architectural Technicians and fellow Planning Industry professionals with the ultimate aim of designing high quality projects to meet an ever expanding number of customers. The role of planner will be a key hire in this companies growth, and it's hoped that applicants will have experience in the following areas:

Appraising the development potential of sites. Provide advice to buyers and land-acquisition teams.
Independently prepare planning applications, appeals, including managing external sub-consultants.
Support Director and senior colleagues in larger scale planning applications.
Discharging planning conditions and monitoring of triggers.
Section 106 agreements – negotiation and monitoring of triggers.

We are hoping for candidates to meet the following criteria:

Between 3-5 years experience.
Planning degree (OR equivalent degree conversion).
RTPI membership.
Good knowledge of planning legislation.
Self-motivated and able to nurture strong relationships with local authorities and external consultants.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Effectively manage deadlines and successfully deliver projects.
