On behalf of an award-winning Nottinghamshire creative agency, we are looking for a talented Heavyweight Motion Graphics Designer who is dedicated to developing a deep understanding of each client's objectives and meeting them with exceptional visual imagery.

The successful applicant will be involved in each project from early creative development stages, through to asset design, final animation and delivery. You'll have a flair for creative inspiration and ideation and will demonstrate confidence and clarity when presenting your ideas to the team and clients.

We're looking for a true team-player who is talented, imaginative and passionate about Motion Graphics, with a broad, expert knowledge of different techniques, both 3D to 2D.

Duties and responsibilities:

Leading the development of 2D and 3D motion graphics projects in collaboration with department Seniors
Interpreting creative briefs and contributing to the creative development process
Working with the sales and production team to develop the project scope – including time & resources required
Creating elements for all key production stages from design (styleframes, mood boards and storyboards) to asset creation (characters, environments, graphic devices and type) to animation
Maintaining excellent professional relationships with clients as well as the internal team and freelancers
Presenting work in progress in a timely manner, for peer review
Working to project schedules and delivering exceptional work

Skills and experience required:

An extensive proven track record of experience in motion graphics
The ability to lead on the development of 2D and 3D animation projects
Capable of designing and creating assets in 2D such as characters and vector graphics/ illustrations
Able to create outstanding style frames, concept mood boards and storyboards
Excellent understanding and capability in design layout and typography
Strong knowledge of Cinema 4D and external renderer Redshift; along with compositing in After Effects and/or other compositing packages
High level of proficiency in After Effects including 2D character animation
Comfortable using and manipulating third party plugins such as the Trapcode Suite
Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create animation assets and artwork
Able to manipulate audio, edit music tracks and add sound design using Premiere Pro or Adobe Audition
Demonstrates a passion for motion graphics and a real drive to create great work
Shows leadership at every project stage from ideation to execution
Maintains an up to date awareness of the latest design trends and is always curious to explore new creative possibilities
Inspires other team members with ideas
Comfortable presenting ideas to the internal team as well as to clients

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday: 9.00am – 5.30pm, Friday: 9.00am – 5.00pm (37 hour working week)
There may be some work beyond normal hours to meet deadlines
A hybrid working option is in the process of being developed

Salary and benefits:

£38,000 with quarterly and annual performance related bonuses
