Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Art and Design Teacher to join our team in West Midlands, Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education and a commitment to providing engaging and interactive lessons.
Job Duties:
Plan and deliver creative and inspiring art and design lessons
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Report to the line manager on student performance and any concerns
Ensure compliance with the UK Art and Design curriculum
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
BA Honours Degree in Art and Design
Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to obtain one
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in art and design, with experience in teaching or relevant field.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to engage students in interactive lessons
Strong lesson planning and assessment skills
Proficient in marking students' work accurately
Excellent behaviour management skills
Knowledge and understanding of the UK Art and Design curriculum
Preferred Qualifications:
A driving licence is desired but not essential for this role.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time contract position with a competitive daily rate. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and supportive educational environment.
