Senior CAD / CAM Design Engineer

Salary: 37.5k to 45k per year OTE (experience dependent)
We are recruiting a Senior CAD/CAM Design Engineer for one of our engineering clients based in Oldham.
They are a sheet metal engineering subcontractor with electrical and mechanical assembly facilities.
They operate from a 120,000 sq ft state of the art factory and are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the CAD / CAM department, someone who can work in a fast-paced environment and likes to be challenged.
This is a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities of the Design Engineer:
• Liaising with customers/staff to produce manufacturing Solidworks drawings for general sheet metal projects for both Retail & Lighting sectors of the business.
• Planning parts/assemblies to create BOMs and quotations.
• Create parts for CAM.
Qualifications & Experience for the Design Engineer:
• Engineering Qualification
• Sheet metal knowledge -10 years experience is mandatory
• Lighting product knowledge -5 years experience is beneficial
• Retail fabrication knowledge 5 years experience would be a bonus
• To be proficient in Solidworks
• CAM software experience (Radan or Amada preferred)
Hours & Pay for the Design Engineer:
• 39 hours per week
Mon – Thurs (7:45am – 18:00pm) or
Mon – Fri (8am – 17:00pm Mon – Thurs & 8am – 13:00pm Fri)
Salary: 37.5k to 45k per year OTE (experience dependent)
