Experienced with sourcing fabrics & trims DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take complete ownership of your department
Protect brand image at all times
Ability to work to and manage the critical path and key launch dates
Ensure the clear execution of new product drops are always on time
Research new trends and influential members of society & socials
Focus on fabrics, trims and newness that will elevate the brand
Research, prepare and present moodboards & creative briefs for your area
Be prepared for wearer trials to ensure that all garments are fit for purpose
work closely and collaboratively with you garment tech to ensure quality, fit and practicality is always being looked after
Work in tandem with your buyer to ensure visions are achievable with the supply base, timeframes, lead times
Utilise wider team like buyer and merch to obtain commercial info around best sellers
Work into move ons and newness constantly
Contribute to weekly trade actions
When briefing suppliers, ensure all teams members are onboard with your vision and ensure that all briefs are highly detailed
Attend all fit sessions
Work openly with wider design team for cohesion in seasonBBBH30127
