Packaging Designer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £33000/annum
Cloud 9 are working with one of the majors in the packaging industry who are looking for an experienced Packaging Designer, or a Graduate Designer keen to develop their career in the industry, to join their dynamic team in new product development. Based in the Southwest you will work together with relevant departments and suppliers to create and produce designs that represent customer briefs accurately. Interested? Key Responsibilities
* To liaise and work with all relevant teams, suppliers and customers to deliver packaging solutions that meet customer needs and requirements.
* To interpret and develop customer briefs accurately and exact and seeing them through from concept to project and delivery.
* To communicate effectively and efficiently between sales and operations.
* Ensure customers' requirements provided to the factory are accurate.
* Create accurate packaging solutions by way of CAD drawings and designs for operations and customers to use.
* Provide samples for assessment and approval by the customer.
* Operate assigned design system and company software effectively.
Experience and Skills
* 3 years' experience in a similar role within the packaging arena, preferable.
* Or a graduate with some design engineering experience.
* Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of 2D and 3D design, ArtiosCAD or similar systems.
* Experience of using CAD for designing and developing briefs.
* Experience working with Photoshop, Illustrator etc of benefit.
* Excellent understanding of manufacturing systems, processes and capabilities.
* Ability to see customer briefs through design, samples to production.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Naturally creative, innovative and practical.
* Experience of managing and organising multiple projects.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels.
* Team Player.
Remuneration
You will receive a salary of £33k (DOE), 25 holidays & other incentives.
