ATA are exclusively working with a leading manufacturer of material handling solutions, for over 40 years our client has been a market leader in conveyor systems, grit capture and water waste systems. This Swedish owned business has seen a 20% per year growth over the last 5 years and have offices worldwide including Sweden, Netherlands, Australia, and the USA.
Currently the UK base is looking to hire a Applications Engineer to handle existing client enquires and potential prospects, the UK site generate an annual turnover of over £20 million and due to high client demands and orders they are offering a Applications Sales Engineer the opportunity to help with their growing client portfolio.
This is a great opportunity with an excellent salary and package for a dynamic Applications Engineer to work in a growing sector with a business who has an existing client base dating back 40 years.
The Role
As an Applications Engineer you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by understanding the product offerings and effectively communicating their value to potential clients, you will work closely with our sales and engineering team to provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales process.
The Applications Engineer’s key responsibility will be to:
Assist in preparing proposals, quotes, and bids.
Customise solutions based on client requirements and project specifications.
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
Work out manufacturing costs and design hours required on projects.
Keep internal files and EPM systems updated.
Have an in-depth knowledge of the product range.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the Applications Engineer role, you will need:
A proven track record in technical sales.
Experience in materials handling or wastewater management sector (desirable)
A mechanical engineering qualification.
Experience with CAD (desirable)
Experience with MS Office and Excel (essential)
