Architectural Technologist

Conrad Consulting are working with a Chartered consultancy firm that focuses on multiple disciplines including Quantity Surveying, Architectural Technology, and Construction Management Consulting. The practice are currently looking for a full-time Architectural Technologist to join their team in Leicester.
The company in question are a multi-disciplinary practice operating predominantly in the Residential and Commercial sectors, with projects ongoing across the Midlands region and wider UK.
Due to continued growth within the Architectural team, there is now an imminent requirement for an Architectural Technologist to join the team.
In this role as an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Leading or assisting in the preparation and monitoring of planning and building control applications.
Playing a key role in the production of technical drawings, specifications, and schedules for building projects.
Submitting drawings and maintaining communication with the Local Planning Authority and Building Control Body.
Collaborating with Structural and Civil Engineers on a daily basis to ensure coordinated building packages.
Reviewing and providing comments on design reports and other design information from Consultants as necessary.
Accurately recording all communication between clients, consultants, and contractors.
Attending and contributing to progress meetings and design workshops as required.The Architectural Technologist will ideally hold the following skills & qualifications
A portfolio of previous work and experience as an Architectural Technologist (at least 5 years ideally)
Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D rendering software such as SketchUp and Lumion.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, building systems, and construction types.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong technical abilities.
Experience with detailed design work in both commercial and residential projects.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Possession of a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car for site visits.The successful Architectural Technologist will be offered a salary in the region of £35,000-£40,000 per annum.
