Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with a large scale multi-disciplinary, currently seeking a Design Manager to join their progressive Design business at their Newark Office.

The company employs thousands of staff in locations all over the world, with their Newark office looking to grow their team with the appointment of an experienced Design Manager.

THE POSITION – DESIGN MANAGER:

This is an exciting role for an individual looking to advance their career as a Design Manager within an industry-leading team. The team has an excellent reputation and offers a wealth of expertise in all sectors of the built environment.

Duties Include:

Reporting to the Senior Management Team and providing support in the delivery of Architectural and Engineering Design Services
Supporting Project Directors across multiple high-profile projects
Collaborating with Directors on pre-appointment contact reviews, negotiations, approvals, and execution in coordination with the Commercial Manager
Establishing and monitoring project delivery programs with the assistance of the Project Planner
Planning and monitoring project delivery resources
Managing the collection and distribution of project information through structured project protocols, linked to the project program and deliverables
Managing the completion and distribution of project deliverables according to the project program
Identifying opportunities to claim additional fees and producing associated contractual notices when necessary
Managing project decision and change logs
Collating and submitting project timesheet data and/or Applications for Payment as required
Establishing and managing sub-consultant contracts and payments
Using own initiative to maintain high standards and accuracy in supporting Project Teams in project commercial managementSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS OF THE DESIGN MANAGER:

To be successful in this role, you likely have a background in design management within the construction industry, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Additionally, you will:

Develop close working relationships with Project Directors, Finance Team, Legal Team, and Clients' representatives
Be proficient in prioritizing tasks to suit the business needs
Have experience in using Microsoft Office Software, including Pivot Tables and lookup formulas
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Have excellent organizational skills to manage deadlines and competing prioritiesThe successful Design Manager will be offered a salary in the region of £55,000-£65,000 alongside a generous benefits package and hybrid/flexible working arrangements.
