Salary : £25000 – £35000/annum

Here at Impact Recruitment, we are hiring an experienced Playscape Designer for one of our clients based in Northamptonshire. They are looking for a creative individual with a strong background in landscape architecture, urban design, or a related field, with a focus on designing outdoor recreational spaces for children of all ages. You will be responsible for leading the design process from concept development to construction documentation, ensuring that each playground project meets the high standards of quality, safety, and innovation.

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 (DoE)

Location: Northamptonshire

Hours: 8am – 5pm

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to understand project goals, site conditions, and user needs.
Generate creative and functional design concepts for playgrounds that integrate play equipment, landscape elements, and safety features.
Develop detailed design plans, including site layouts, elevations, and material specifications, using CAD software and other design tools.
Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing conditions and identify opportunities and constraints for playground development.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and safety standards related to playground design and play equipment.
Communicate design ideas effectively through sketches, renderings, presentations, and written reports.
Work closely with engineers, landscape architects, and other consultants to coordinate design details and ensure project feasibility.
Review and revise design plans based on client feedback, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with construction administration tasks, such as responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site inspections to monitor project progress and quality.

Requirements:

A degree or qualification within Design or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Vectorworks).
Strong design skills, including the ability to create compelling and innovative design solutions.
