Production Planner
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £32000 – £35000/annum
Material Buyer / Production Planner
Location: Leeds / Bradford

Company: One of Europe's leading print and packaging manufacturer.
Role The role will be responsible for the purchasing and control of material in both Cartons and Leaflets and also covering some production planning duties within both departments
* Ordering paper material from overseas supplies and control of stocks based on and off site.
* Purchasing outers and packaging in line with demand for cartons and leaflets finishing departments
* Responsible for outsource production
* Working closely with planners, suppliers, production, goods in and technical
* Responsible for short and long term materials orders and forecasts
* Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required
* Works with the senior management team
* Gain knowledge of planning system to provide cover for both carton and leaflet planning roles
Requirements:
* Previous experience of planning in a manufacturing environment
* Experienced within a packaging and or leaflets manufacturer would be preferred
* Strong commercial awareness
* Experience of using an MRP system
* Excellent use of MS Office
* Able to make very good decisions, quickly and to stand by them
* Able to work with accuracy and fine attention to detail, particularly when under pressure
* Possesses a desire to understand customer and colleague’ requirements
* Uses initiative when approaching new tasks, tackling problems and prioritising workload
