ATA are exclusively working with a leading manufacturer of material handling solutions, for over 40 years our client has been a market leader in conveyor systems, grit capture and water waste systems. This Swedish owned business has seen a 20% per year growth over the last 5 years and have offices worldwide including Sweden, Netherlands, Australia, and the USA.
Currently the UK base is looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to work closely with their dynamic team in Banbury, the UK site generate an annual turnover of over £20 million and due to high client demands and orders they are offering a Mechanical Design Engineer a fantastic opportunity to join their successful business to design and run individual projects.
This is a great opportunity for an individual who likes a varied and exciting role that blends project and design.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a key role to provide and implement your expertise on various projects, working on new orders as well as existing clientele. Design projects could range from £5k to £2 million in value, you will work closely with the client and manufacturing to ensure the best level of service for our customers.
The Mechanical Design Engineer’s key responsibility will be to:
Produce both bespoke and standard drawings using Autodesk Inventor CAD package.
Handle design projects from inception to completion.
Generate applications drawings for new products.
Produce 3D models and detailed component drawings as required.
Generate new product designs and modify existing designs.
Manage client projects from inception to completion.
The Candidate:
To be successful in your application for the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:
CAD experience in 2D and 3D.
A mechanical engineering background.
Experience in a project-based design role.
Good communication skills.
