We are looking to hire a person to work in the PRINT room as a Print Room Assistant for our great client in Newhaven. This position is initially temporary and could lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
This is an entry level position and full training will be given, but must have an interest in the print industry and have an interest in how print machines operate.
You must be PC literate and happy to use PC's in every aspect of your work as this site is largely auiomated.
JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
You will have the opportunity to learn about the PRINTER MACHINE and associated software. You will need to be able to associate different colours and be comfortable with computers.
Initially to start with duties like moving rolls of paper from stores to the printers, Labelling, taking waste products out to the bin, and later loading rolls of paper on to machines.
You will be involved in print finisher, operating a digital cutter.
Please be advised that there is a technical aspect to this position.
From time to time you will be expected to assist in other areas on the factory floor.
Must be reliable, flexible, a good team player and have the ability to work on your own initiative
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm (42.5 hours per week) These hours may reduce to 40 hours (no Reflection on pay)
