Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have an excellent new opportunity for a passionate Design Manager to join our client on a long-term contract basis in East London. As the selected candidate, you will be required to operate flexibly by having a mixed office and site-based presence. This is a brilliant opportunity to work on a range of exciting Data Centre and Commercial projects. Our client is a UK market-leader in providing expertise based in Engineering Services, as well as the design, installation, integration, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical technologies. They operate across a variety of sectors, including, but not limited to, Building Services, Engineering Services, Infrastructure, and Facilities Management.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide technical design guidance and review the multi-disciplinary elements of the design, including supporting safely functional requirements
– Actively contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of design processes and standards
– Lead, manage and co-ordinate designs to ensure alignment of output
– Provide technical support
– Manage designer performance and make appropriate technical management decisions
– Plan for effective project implementation, identify key factors, and lead technical planning processes
Key Requirements:
– Previous experience working on Data Centre and Commercial projects
– A degree in Engineering or related field
– Mechanical bias preferred
– Strong leadership abilities, project management, and comprehensive editorial skills
– Can demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills in technical management of large-scale design development
