Senior Interior Designer (residential)

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £42000 – £50000/annum

A Senior Interior Designer job is now available with the residential team of a multidisciplinary practice based in North London. The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio of luxury residential projects and will have the ability to successfully work on multiple projects whilst leading a team.

Established in 2008, this multi-disciplinary practice has a vibrant team of 50 architectural and interior design staff. Their portfolio of commercial, hospitality and high-end residential projects, including both refurbishment and new build schemes. With ongoing projects in Portugal, Switzerland and the UK, they are currently looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join the residential team on a permanent basis.

Role & Responsibilities

– Leading national and international projects from start through to completion

– Producing design schemes and putting together presentations

– Liaising with and presenting to clients

– Working on all stages of FF&E including concept design, bespoke furniture and joinery, specifications (soft and hard finishes) and schedules

– Working on/overseeing drawing packages including space planning, elevations and joinery design

– Project and site coordination

– Collaborating with architects and other team members when needed

– Business development.

Required Skills & Experience

– 6+ years' experience working on luxury residential projects

– Proven experience working on projects from concept through completion and across all RIBA stages

– Outstanding concept development abilities and experience

– Experience working on all FF&E stages

– Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes and suppliers

– Proven experience liaising directly with HNWI

– Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities

– Good interior architecture experience and the ability to produce and comment on drawing packs and detailed drawings

– Experienced in AutoCAD, SketchUp and the Adobe Suite. Revit would be advantageous but not essential

– Strong presentation and communication skills.
