A unique opportunity for candidates who have a creative passion to join a well-established distributor of fashion products who are well known for quality and excellent customer care along with being a great employer.

They now require a Junior Fashion Designer in what will be a challenging, fast-paced role that will involve designing character and licensed bags, footwear and accessories.

The ideal candidate would be looking to enter the fashion industry in their first design role and someone who can manage a varied and sometimes time-pressured workload involving daily interaction with customers and internal colleagues.

Hours of work Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 3.30pm
What does the role entail:

Design own brand and character licensed bags, footwear and accessories
Ensure that the products are specified appropriately to achieve required cost prices.
Ensure all materials and components meet the required company standards and the customer in terms of quality and product assurance.
Liaise effectively with customers and other team members.
Research the market, understand trends and develop new ideas and concepts to present to customers.
Work with factories and sourcing teams to develop products in the most appropriate sources.
Work well with colleagues to create a positive and creative teamwork ethic.
Provide input to creative meetings.
What will you need?

Design Qualification is essential and candidates will be educated to Degree Level or equivalent
Competent in the use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
GCSE Maths and English C and above
Willingness to learn
Excellent written communication skills.
Creative and innovative
Methodical and organised, attention to detail.
