ATA Recruitment are working with a leading global business that design, manufacture, and supply specialist tools for several industries which include Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Mining, and Steel & Aluminium plants. Our client has been a leading force in state-of-the-art technology which is distributed globally, they have overseas operations in 7 countries namely Azerbaijan, China, Malaysia, Netherlands, Italy, South Africa, and United Arab Emirates. Additionally, they have a global presence through officially appointed authorized distributors operating in over 100 countries.

Due to significant growth and expansion plans they are looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their newly refurbished site based in Daventry, you will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic engineering function which boast over 100 years of industry experience between them. Your role as a Mechanical Design Engineer will consist of exciting project management and bespoke hi tech design development.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a key role within a business which has global turnover of over £30 million, working with senior management to develop and grow the department whilst introducing exciting new products to the market.

The Mechanical Design Engineer’s key responsibility will be to:

Work on exciting design projects from inception to completion.
Design and develop both new and existing high-quality products.
Manage the engineering change order process.
Model 3D designs using Solid works CAD software.
Produce 2D drawings for manufacture.
The Candidate: 

To be successful in your application for the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:

Mechanical engineering qualification
Mechanical Design background
CAD Software experience in 2D and 3D
Good communicator, team player and someone who takes ownership of their work and duties.
