Salary : £25000 – £32000/annum

Russell Taylor Group are pleased to be working on behalf of our client based in South Woodham Ferrers. They have a full-time vacancy for an Experienced Cad Designer.

This is a Monday to Friday position, with full time hours of 08.00am to 17.00pm
Salary £25,000 – £32,000 DOE

To be successful in this role you should be highly driven, flexible and be capable of working in a team or independently where required.
Ultimately, you should be creative and technically minded, with a strong working knowledge of industry-standard software and a good team player.

Role Overview:
– Create high quality and accurate technical 2D drawings independently, including RCP's, sections, and elevations.
– Frequently liaise with the lead designer and Design team for regular progression updates.
– Carry out measured surveys independently and assist others when required.
– Support the newer/junior CAD Designers in the team, once trained.
– Ensure that all drawing issue sheets are always kept up to date.
– Take the necessary actions to ensure that the design elements of the project are coordinated sufficiently with other relevant trades.
– Balance your own workload and support for others effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
– Be forthcoming with ideas and communicate them effectively. Required Skills:
– Proficient CAD (AutoCAD) user is essential with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional practice.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Experience taking measured surveys.
– Strong team player and influencer.
– Able to read and evaluate architects drawings, identify problems, and present potential solutions.
– Competent MS Office skills essential.
– Able to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
– Active trouble shooting.

Desirable Skills/Qualities:
– To maintain a positive can do' attitude.
– Exhibit passion towards their work and possess a keen eye for detail.
– Knowledge of metal ceiling suspension systems desirable.
– Experienced user of Adobe Photoshop.
