Salary : £22000 – £24000/annum 25 days Holiday, Half Day Fridays

The business is an SME, with 150 employees and 60 years of manufacturing heritage. They have a global supply chain and export over 30% of their product to a world-wide network of customers. The operation consists of a fabrication facility, assembly area, large yard, logistics area and finished goods stores with the majority of product designed and manufactured by the company at their UK site.

Role Overview

Trainee Design Engineer Salary and Benefits
* £22,000 – £24,000
* Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:15pm, 12pm on Friday’s
* 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
* Life insurance
* Half day on Friday’s

Trainee Design Engineer Candidate Requirements
* No experience needed, but you will be a person who is eager to learn and develop, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
* Experience or qualifications in engineering would be ideal.
* Any previous design experience would be highly advantageous, but is not essential.
* Maths, English, Science – 4 or above equivalent to a C or above is preferred.
Trainee Design Engineer Key Responsibilities
* Produce designs using the relevant specification and drawings, provide technical support on products to customers and the sales force for quality, environmentally friendly and energy efficient designs.
* Organize design workload.
* Check all Customer specifications and highlight all salient information required for other departments.
* Complete specific designs using the onsite software.
* Be aware of all appropriate industry standard levels and requirements and to ensure applicable industry standard is applied to all designs activity.
* External training provided with a Diploma course.
