ATA recruitment are representing a global leader in design and manufacturing of precision bespoke machinery for the electrical and energy industries, our client have a range of machinery which have been designed using state of the art techniques for scientific and research purposes.

Due to growth and a reputation for high quality and reliable equipment they are looking for a dynamic Senior Design Engineer who has a passion for engineering and the experience and knowledge to add to our clients already 100-year rich history, this brilliant opportunity is open for a Senior Design Engineer who enjoys the technical and varied aspect of engineering. You will work closely with industry experts in their field to design bespoke products used in scientific projects across the globe.  

The Role:

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will have a key role within the business to assist with the design and engineering activities, reporting directly to the Operations Director you will be spearheading concept designs to final products which are supplied globally.

The Senior Design Engineer’s key responsibility will be to:

Lead designated design projects, ensuring compliance with the projects plans and completion times.
Design using 3D design software, full bespoke machinery, components, and parts.
Maintain project files information and updating/creating manuals.
Ensure that products conform to appropriate technical standards and directives.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and technical personnel.
Confer with project personnel and production personnel to provide technical advice and support.
Assist with technical quotations for special machines.
The Candidate: 

To be successful in your application for the Senior Design Engineer role you will need:

3D CAD software experience.
Experience In machinery design and detailing.
Mechanical engineering qualification
Engineering design and analytical skills, DFMA, calculations using engineering principles.
