Don’t be put off by the contract nature of this role, this is a brilliant opportunity to gain some fantastic commercial experience with an international, award winning online retailer. It would someone with a good design education who has gained 6/12 months commercial experience, and you’ll work with some hugely professional designers and marketers.

The role:

As Junior Designer you will sit within the Brand Marketing team, working alongside campaign, content and design specialists, and you’ll be responsible for taking concepts and ideas and creating visual representations that inspire, inform and engage with their target audience. You’ll deliver all design requirements working with both own brand and partner brands ensuring that global brand guidelines and design principles are upheld.

You will be producing a variety of print and digital work, from emails to website content, from static social media to videos and animations as well as offline work including direct marketing, leaflets and internal communications. You could find yourself photoshopping photos and images and undertaking artwork projects as well as pure design. You’ll also schedule projects, track their progress and provide regular updates.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who has a degree or equivalent in graphic design and some commercial experience , with a portfolio which can demonstrate both print and digital work. Ideally you’ll have a year, but the client is flexible. You’ll have good experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premier Pro) and you’ll be a solid communicator. It would be highly desirable if you had an interest in photography and also any photography and videography skills would also be appreciated.

What’s on Offer?

The role is offered to cover a period of leave for an existing staff member, and could last a minimum of 9 months, but could go on longer than a year. The fantastic aspect of this role is that you will be trained and your skills will be honed; they’re not looking for a like for like replacement to the person who will be out of the business, they actually want to help someone grow and develop, and to be honest there are not many places better than this to do that! Salary is up to £25k, but that does depend on experience.
