Hours: Full Time, Permanent – 37 ½ hours per week (day and night shifts required)

Our client, a global provider for many different business support services, are looking for passionate and confident individuals to help with a critical element of work relating to the Ministry of Justice.

As a Field Officer, you'll be part of a friendly, welcoming team, who'll support you to learn and develop, as together you help to make our country a safer place.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll head off to visit subjects in their own homes to install, calibrate and decommission monitoring equipment. You'll either work alone or alongside a monitoring support officer, to help the Ministry of Justice to track individuals in the local area and support them to complete their sentences outside of prison.

No previous experience is required in this role, but you must be able to build trusting relationships with people and be confident and resilient when dealing with a wide variety of different people.

You know that everyone deserves respect and not to be judged. You'll build the subjects confidence in both you and the justice system, reassuring them of their safety, as well as that of the general public. With every successful case, you'll be directly helping to reduce the pressure on the prison system and give ex-prisoners the chance to be part of their community again. Every day and every subject is different, which is what makes this role so varied and full of opportunities to learn. It also means you'll need to be resilient as you adapt to new situations each time.

You'll receive three weeks of extensive training at the start and work with a training officer on the road until you're comfortable with the role. And with support from your manager, you'll have the chance to grow your skills and progress your career, whether that's into a management role or within the wider business.

Main Responsibilities:

Visiting subjects' houses to install, calibrate and decommission electronic monitoring equipment
Checking and cleaning equipment on issue and collection, as well as quarantining any equipment needed for evidence
Liaising with the control centre to report any issues or subject breaches
Showing respect to subjects to build confidence in the justice system and in their safety
Keeping paperwork up-to-date and following standard operational procedures
Taking part in meetings with your team and line manager.To be successful in this role, you need to have:

Full driving license
Ability to work on a shift rota basis (night shifts, day shifts and part-time hours available)
Friendly, personable with the ability to put people at ease
Resilience, patience and ability to adapt to different circumstances
