Packaging Designer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £35000/annum
Manpower UK Print & Packaging Division are currently working on behalf of one of our prestigious partners, one of the largest packaging groups in the UK, to recruit a Packaging Designer based from Stockport.
You will work with members of the sales team to effectively provide creative solutions and presentations, technical support, and accurate specifications in a timely manner to both internal and external customers that will deliver the Ultimate Corrugated Experience and promote the Service Promise.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to use AG Cad software for development of products or presentations for customers.
Ability to understand performance of each type of board grade.
Supplies final CADs for production runs and sample designs for approval/signoff by customer.
Formulate and communicate ideas for new accounts or products while analysing customer needs and production feasibility.
Accompany Sales Representatives on occasion to present new designs or presentations to customers or prospects.
Working with customer services or sales representatives to review accounts and make recommendations for update on style, board weight and new products.
Meet deadlines for design requests/samples based on information supplied from sales representative or production.
Adhere to and support all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.The successful candidate will:
Have at least 2 years' experience in a corrugated (or similar substrate) packaging design role.
Be passionate for results, eagerness to take responsibility.
A can-do attitude.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Be passionate about change – recognises the need to constantly review working practices to stay ahead in the industry.
