Randstad is working with an international architecture and engineering consultancy based in Dubai, specialising in delivering innovative and groundbreaking design solutions across various sectors. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of design, we are seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Design Director to join our dynamic team.

As a Senior Design Director, you will play a crucial role in leading the design team and driving the creative vision for our projects. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional design solutions that exceed expectations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of bringing fresh ideas to the table and a portfolio showcasing their work on cutting-edge designs. They will have worked for award-winning and world-renowned design firms, demonstrating their ability to handle complex projects across different scales.

Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout all stages of the design process.
Develop and articulate design strategies and concepts that align with project objectives, client requirements, and industry standards
Act as the principal design authority, overseeing the production of high-quality design deliverables and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project goals, user needs, and design constraints, and translate them into innovative design solutions.
Foster a culture of innovation and exploration, encouraging the team to push the boundaries of design thinking and leverage emerging technologies.
Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and cutting-edge design methodologies to incorporate them into project designs.
Participate in design reviews, presenting concepts and design solutions to clients, and receiving feedback to refine and improve designs.
Foster effective communication and collaboration within the design team, as well as with other departments, ensuring a seamless workflow and cohesive design approach.
Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and building strong client relationships.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions, promoting our design excellence and thought leadership.Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, design, or a related field.
Minimum of 20 years of professional experience in architecture or design, with a focus on complex and high-profile projects.
Proven experience in leading design teams and successfully delivering projects from concept to completion.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of cutting-edge designs and innovative solutions.
Experience working for award-winning and world-renowned design firms, demonstrating a track record of excellence.
Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
Exceptional conceptual and design development skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas to diverse audiences.
Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to inspire and motivate team members.
