Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality joinery pieces
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components using hand tools and woodworking machinery
Select appropriate materials and finishes to achieve desired results
Operate machinery such as planers, saws, routers, sanders
Collaborate with shop floor manager to ensure accurate execution of project requirements
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Conduct quality inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and standards
Stay updated with industry trends and techniques to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or similar role
Proficient in using hand tools and woodworking machinery
Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and materials
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
