Print Supervisor | West Sussex | Full Time | £25,000 to £28,000 plus bonus

We have been printing paper and polythene carrier bags, as Atom Packaging for nearly thirty years.

We print for trade, promotional and marketing companies and end users. We are very flexible in what we can do, printing 500 – 1000 bags in one colour on one or both sides.

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of this small but growing facility and report directly to the General Manager.

The role is perfect if you have a full understanding of printing and are looking to step into a supervisory (management) level role.

Hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, however, we can be flexible 8:30am-4:30pm if preferred.

Are you the right person for us?

A minimum of 3 years print experience
Experience with Sybiz software is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
Knowledge of Flexographic printing would be beneficial
You will have a solid background in print, and your practical print knowledge will be excellent
Excellent people and communication skills are vital
You must be super-organised and be able to multi-task while remaining cool, calm and collected as there are many facets to this role
You will be a good all-rounder with adaptable skills and a can-do attitude
A full driving licence and the ability to operate a forklift truck would be advantageous   
What will your role look like?

Brief the production team on job requirements and deadlines
Run daily production meetings and ensure jobs are on schedule
Manage multiple print projects simultaneously
Get involved in print production if the main team is overstretched
Assist the production team when workload requires
Assist in ink mixing, setting printing plates and operating Cooper Flexo Press machines
Responsible for stock taking and the integrity of stock level
Dealing with customer enquiries and processing customer orders
Raising PO with suppliers
Booking in and Despatching goods
Quality Checks
