Salary : £45000 – £55000/annum

Senior Design Engineer required to join our client who are a leading door manufacturer located close to the Sidcup area. Due to their niche product range, the company have been growing effectively year on year and because of this have a new position within the business for an experienced Design Engineer to join their team.

The companies head operations are based in the UK, with manufacturing and sales teams also located overseas in countries such as Australia and the US. The company have a strong pipeline of orders which continuous to grow and have aggressive plans to increase the companies turnover this year. They are now looking for a creative and hands-on Design Engineer to join their fast-paced and dynamic product development team. This is an opportunity to take products incorporating complex electromechanical assemblies from early concept through to mass production.

Design Engineer Position Overview

Develop new ideas from scratch, and create proofs of concept
Create 3D CAD models and build working prototypes in-house for evaluation and testing
Produce full product specifications for manufacture, including drawings, labelling and associated documentation
Manage pre-launch product testing
Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate training activities.
Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job, whether that be on-the-job training, in-house training or external training courses

Design Engineer Position Requirements

Experience working with Solidworks
Hands-on small tools and bench experience (metal and woodwork)
Ability to collaborate on activities
Work well under a high-pressure environment
Strong communicator
Relevant qualification

Design Engineer Position Remuneration

Starting salary £45,000 – £55,000 (dependant on experience)
28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
