It's an exciting time to join our team and we are keen to recruit a Studio Coordinator / Administrator to support our growing team. The role could provide an introduction to working in the photographic industry and an opportunity to later develop as a Junior Photographer.
Job responsibilities
As the Studio Coordinator / Administrator, you will support in the coordination of all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Photography Studio. Working closely with the studio team to maintain creative output through administrative workflows and having the opportunity to learn and develop your creative skills.
Predominantly, this is an administrative role within a photographic and video production environment and requires combined input of physical manual tasks as well as some creative thinking.
The successful candidate will:
* Manage the administration of new photo and film content post-shoot, including naming and uploading images into the company digital asset management database
* General studio coordination duties, including shoot setups, upkeep of work areas, maintaining equipment and keeping things well-ordered and tidy
* Complete postproduction processes as well as manage and maintain image files on a central database
* Occasionally liaise with senior photographers and the Creative Services team to contribute creative ideas in delivering distinctive and eye-catching media
* Assist with lighting and camera work, as required
* Help organise, unpack, and set up camera and lighting equipment for external locations
* Help to organise, unpack, and set up products, ready for photo and film requirements
* Coordinate location shoots, including booking venues, models and team resource in order to deliver to requirements
* Scout potential photoshoot locations and venues
* Organise location permits and secure locations
* Analyse and collate performance and production statistics for monthly reports
Skills required
* You will have a qualification or a keen interest in photography
* Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Good knowledge of working with Photoshop and Bridge
* Organised as well as creative
* Ability to take direction and receive feedback
* Comfortable working in a challenging and changing environment
* Team player
* Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships (internal and external)
* Positive outlook, open to change
* You may be required to attend photographic shoots off site so a driving license would be useful
