Water Jet Production Operative
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £13 – £26/hour overtime
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are working in partnership with a local manufacturing company in their search for a Water Jet Cutting Production Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.
Our client manufacture parts and components used in the aerospace industry and have a temporary to permanent vacancy within their CAD design and water jet cutting facility.
About the Job:
Basic 2D CAD design and programming to create the profile for the cutting control system
Uploading the file to the water jet control system
Additional set up – loading the cutting materials – this is heavy work!
Digging out beds, clearing drainage systems – this isn't a clean job!
About You:
You have basic 2D CAD design knowledge and competencies
You are a physically fit and energetic person
Experience in plasma cutting and / or laser cutting would work well for this position
Carrying a counterbalance FLT license would be advantageous
You are looking for a long term, permanent position as a result of this placement
A team player with a can do attitude
Working Hours:
6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm – weekly rotating
Monday – Friday with overtime available
The Pay:
Starting rate – £13 per hour
Saturday – £19.50 per hour
Sunday – £26 per hour
