Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £37000/annum 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
My client specialise in the design, development, manufacture and sale of thermoplastic hoses to the oil and gas industry. Due to ongoing success, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to assist with the development of new products. The ideal candidate will have industry experience within a mechanical design role and have relevant qualifications. You must also be based within commutable distance of Milton Keynes.
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview
Control of drawings using product data management software
Preparing final designs including detailed drawings and general arrangements
Producing bespoke designs
Creating rapid prototypes and FEA models of products
Working with the development team to carry out physical testing of products
Post inspection of products and making final design adjustments
Providing sales department with product details and visualisations
Liaising with machining contractors to assist with any technical queries
Using Autodesk Inventor
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
Ideally qualified in a mechanical discipline, although equivalent experience also considered
Industry experience within a design position
Experience with design from initial concept to finished detailing
3D design software experience, ideally Autodesk Inventor
Presenting skills
Proficient with MS Office
Based within commutable distance of Milton Keynes

Salary £30,000 – £37,000 DOE
Office hours Monday – Friday
Holiday 25 days plus Bank Holidays
