Foster Frames is a highly successful Picture Framing and Gallery Sales shop in the centre of Stratford upon Avon
We are seeking a person that is highly motivated and has the right practical and customer service skills to be able to work in our business. This is a rewarding position where you will be handling customers art and objects that require inserting into a bespoke handmade picture frames
The job is to work hands-on the assembly and finishing of picture frames containing customers artwork. This is a high paced business where quality workmanship, output and working under pressure are a normal part of daily business. It can be liked to a busy restaurant kitchen with a similar high pace to meet customer timing and expectations, including end of day clean down and housekeeping duties
Key skills required are:
* An ability to work in a customer service environment, serving customers, taking card payments and assuring a confident and professional face of our business
* An understanding of art and general interest in creativity would be helpful
* It is essential is to have good hand skills in making. Typically, used in crafts, model making and DIY. Able to use hand tools and following training; simple machinery used in cutting glass, pinning frame corners and cutting frame corners
* An ability to work under pressure, to calmly resolve problems and advising customers and other members of the team the actions required to complete a specific picture frame order
Daily Duties:
* Booking jobs on a computer / spreadsheet and updating progress; organising lists and prioritising workflow from order taking to finished picture frame and calling customer to advise of readiness of the order
* Supervising workloads and organising work for part-time staff to complete. Prioritising and problem solving. Ordering of materials and supplies on a weekly basis as required by each customer order.
* Assisting with sales of ready-made pictures available from our gallery
* In addition to frame assembly, the candidate will be required to meet and greet customers who bring in their artwork to the shop consisting of photographs, pictures or paintings and to help them with selection of a frame the surrounding mount and general arrangement.

Hours of work are: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday to Friday and Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm
