Outstanding opportunity for a Project Architect to work with one of Derby's leading Architectural practice, starting out working on a prestigious Hotel scheme.

THE COMPANY:

As a Project Architect you will be joining a highly reputable, long established Architectural practice that have been in operation in Derby for over 50 years. The company is made up of highly dedicated and talented Architects, Architectural Technologists and Architectural Assistants, with an enviable client and project portfolio.

The company work in a broad range of sectors and as a Project Architect you will be working on a myriad of challenging projects, in areas such as; Commercial, Leisure, Hotels, Public Sector, Education and more. As mentioned above, the company have developed a stellar reputation and are proud to work with well known brand names such as Hilton, Marriott, Rolls-Royce, Crowne Plaza, Universities throughout the UK, and the NHS.

You'll be joining a medium sized team with plenty of scope for progression through to Associate level and beyond. The company have embraced the modern way of working, allowing for flexible working hours and hybrid working. In this particular position, there will likely be a need for the Project Architect to be in the office at least 3-4 days a week, so being based within commutable distance of Derby is essential for this role The hotel scheme is based in London, so there will be elements of travel to London on semi-regular basis.

THE POSITION – PROJECT ARCHITECT

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Project Architect to lead one of Derby's most successful Architectural practices. The ideal candidate will hold around 5 years of post qualification, ideally with a demonstrable ability to work on large scale commercial, leisure and hotel schemes.

The position will require a Project Architect that is happy to run large scale projects from concept to completion, whilst leading a team and being the main point of contact for the client and 3rd parties. You will also be required to attend site visits and be happy to travel to do so (costs covered), so again would need to be confident in a client facing role.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS – PROJECT ARCHITECT

Fully qualified Architect with UK recognised qualifications.
ARB registered & RIBA chartered
Approximately 5 years of post qualification experience would be ideal.
Experience of working on large scale commercial and leisure schemes such as hotels would be ideal. High rise residential and student accommodation experience would also be looked on favourably.
Comfortable in a client facing position.
Solid experience of working in a project running role, and happy to lead and mentor a team.
