CAD Advisor
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £25000 – £26000/annum 10% bonus
Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on an Engineering graduate to fill a CAD Advisor role in Cardiff.
The successful candidate will be technically minded, being fully capable of reading, understanding in-depth technical documentation and Revit/CAD drawings. They will also have strong communication skills with excellent customer service skills, being able to provide strong technical support and assistance to customers. An Architecture/ Civil or Mechanical Engineering graduate with a passion for design would be ideal for this role.
CAD Advisor Benefits:
Salary of £25,000 to start, moving up to £26,000 after probation
Yearly bonus up to 10% of annual salary based on company performance (£2,600 for this position paid every April)
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours

Progression opportunities availableCAD Advisor Duties and Responsibilities
High levels of end-client/customer dialogue through meetings, mainly telephone, email and sometimes video conferences
Support the sales team with process from enquiry through to quotation advising on the correct specification of company products
Presentations/ liaising with architects, contractors, and the design team, either face to face or via video conferencing facilities
Supporting the creation of new literature in conjunction with the marketing team
Provide robust technical solutions to design related problems relative to the product range
Conduct in depth calculation and qualification of the suitability of products
Identify performance requirements for testing approvals and requirements for market entry for each region
Internal and External product support/enquiry handling for company products
Visiting testing company sites to ensure the testing rig is installed and set up correctly, in-line with the drawings you have created to ensure accuracy with results.
Assisting the Testing Engineer with creation of drawings for testing rigs to be used within the building envelope (Cladding/ Panelling) for bespoke products that can be one of products or used within larger projects.
Assist with site support engineers to provide training on site and or classroom sessions for new Data Centre clients
Development of production drawings and bespoke/standard details for the company and developing product range
Develop bespoke project details where appropriate
Carrying out simple structural calculations (internal software; training provided)
Conducting technical training sessions/presentations on products/practices to other internal staffCAD Advisor Essential Experience/Qualifications

Ability to read, understand and product technical documents and CAD drawings
Good customer service skills and strong communication
Customer service experience
Able to build relationships with customers
